sadness is a bridge to love...

Band of Holy Joy kicked the evening off, we played four accoustic songs

Go Break The Ice

Cold Blows the Wind

A Town in Every Girl

On the Ground Where John Wesley Walked

Inga Tillere provided a visual slide backdrop that supported the bleak cold rural nature of the songs with her bare black and white photos of the northern fells.

The night truly belonged to the Society Of Imaginary Friends though, the twisted baroque and salvaged ruin of Papageno's really suited their turbo-operatic songs and they had the whole place up and out of their seats and dancing round the wine glasses on the tables.

Mind you, mention must be afforded to Jamie and Bill Drake who were both immense and Douglas Rouxel whose visuals really sparked some serious period dreaming off.

A magical night.
